Our Services

Conditions We Treat

Diabetic foot ulcers

Diabetic foot ulcers

These ulcers can form silently on pressure points due to nerve damage and poor circulation. We use debridement, moisture-balanced dressings, infection control, and offloading to heal and prevent complications. Seek urgent care if redness spreads, fever develops, or foul odor appears.

Burns and skin tears

Fragile skin and burns need gentle handling to reduce pain and scarring. We use low-adherence dressings, moisture control, and close monitoring, with emergency referral for severe or chemical/electrical burns.

Pressure injuries

These injuries develop in bony areas from unrelieved pressure, often in people with limited mobility. Our care reduces pressure, balances moisture, and removes damaged tissue, with urgent evaluation needed for worsening wounds or exposed bone.

Non healing traumatic and lacerated wounds

Dehisced Wounds

Prompt care for reopened incisions prevents infection and complications. We manage moisture, bioburden, and healing while coordinating with your surgeon for safe, effective recovery.

Non Healing Traumatic and Lacerated Wounds

Accident-related wounds risk infection and scarring. We clean, debride, and protect injuries while managing pain and function for faster, healthier healing.

Infected Wounds and Cellulitis-associated wounds

Infections can spread quickly and delay healing. We target bacteria, control bioburden, and support underlying health factors to restore safe, steady recovery.

Venous Stasis Ulcers

Venous Stasis Ulcers

Caused by poor circulation and swelling, these ulcers need consistent compression and wound care. We manage moisture, support skin health, and improve healing outcomes with tailored treatment.

Arterial Ulcers

Arterial Ulcers

Restricted blood flow causes painful ulcers. We focus on safe wound care, pressure relief, and vascular coordination to protect tissue and support healing.

We focus on comprehensive diagnostics and advanced, non-chamber wound therapies.

I highly recommend Dr. Seguin for wound care. He has been treating my wound over the past few months and the care I received was exceptional. He is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly takes the time to listen and understand your concerns. He carefully explained my condition and all of my treatment options, which helped me make informed decisions and finally start healing. The convenience of having a wound care specialist come to me made a huge difference and avoided more trips to the hospital. If you are looking for wound care in Northern Michigan or the Traverse City area, I would strongly recommend him.

On a scale of 1 to 10 — he’s a 10! I sincerely appreciate everything he has done and continues to do for me.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Colin Seguin and NexGen Wound Care. The care I received during one of the most difficult periods of my life was truly exceptional.

After sustaining severe burns to both of my feet on Thanksgiving Day—when a roasting pan full of hot turkey drippings fell from the stove—I was unable to walk or put any weight on my feet for several months. After an ambulance ride to the ER, I was told I would need ongoing care from a wound care specialist. When we were referred to Dr. Seguin, we assumed this would require frequent trips downstate, something that felt nearly impossible given my condition.

We were incredibly grateful to learn that NexGen Wound Care provides in-home wound care, and that Dr. Seguin would come directly to us. At a time when leaving the house felt insurmountable—needing assistance just to get a wheelchair down our three small steps —his in-home care was truly life-changing. Aside from our essential infusion appointments, regular medical visits added to those simply weren’t realistic for us, and this service lifted an enormous burden.

Dr. Seguin arrived fully prepared for every visit, bringing all necessary supplies—many of which he personally provided and left with us. His kindness, compassion, professionalism, and expertise were evident from day one. With his extensive ER background, we felt completely confident that I was receiving the highest level of care.

What truly sets Dr. Seguin and NexGen Wound Care apart is the personal connection. He treated us not just as patients, but as people. Over more than two months of visits, shared stories, and genuine conversation, my husband and I felt we had gained a friend.

This type of in-home wound care was new to our area, and I never knew such a service existed—until we desperately needed it. NexGen Wound Care is an incredible gift, and I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Colin Seguin to anyone in need of compassionate, high-quality medical care at home.
